Recorded with zoom h2n, 4ch mode, some post production with noise cancelling and merge of all tracks into a stereo one due to a problem with my zoom unit. Old methane gas boiler for heating independent apartments. The boiler is one of those models with an open combustion chamber, year 2000 or 2002.

Note: the high-pitched squeaks are artifacts from freesound's preview and aren't present in the actual recording. 10 minutes of a thunderstorm, recorded september 7th, 2019 from my apartment window in seattle. This is the raw recording straight from my zoom h5. Levels were kept low to minimize the chance of clipping. A few thunder sounds were still too loud, but luckily the h5 has a backup function that recorded an identical track 12 db quieter. I've uploaded that as well, so you can splice the two together to taste. Eventually i'll release a processed version with the two combined, plus compression and eq, but i wanted to upload the source material in case you'd prefer to diy it.

My mother in the kitchen just around the corner from my closed bedroom door getting some ice from a square ice bucket in the freezer which is right at the entrance to the kitchen. You can hear them drop into her big glass and pop when they hit the water. I was recording out the window at the time. You can hear an american robin, red cardenal and mourning dove as well.

. . On the third plant of an apartment building in a calm, suburbian district. There is only a little traffic resonating through one half opened window of the staircase. Once in a while you can here the neighbour's kids laughing or yelling. Almoste unhearable there may be an adult's voice or someone speaking on a television and some unspecific sounds coming from one of the flats. Plus one or two bird's singing can be heard from the trees nearby. It's juli 2021.

Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time.
